My Story
The engineer who became a full-stack founder
I'm Aniket Sharma, Founder & CTO of Kanpix, a digital growth and technology company based in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. My path here wasn't a straight line from a computer science degree to a tech startup — it started in a mechanical engineering workshop, moved through sales, business development and US IT recruitment, and eventually led me to teach myself the MERN stack and become a full-stack developer. That mix of backgrounds is exactly why Kanpix looks the way it does today.
Most tech companies are built by people who only know how to build. Fewer are built by people who've also sold, negotiated, hired and managed client relationships. I've done all of it, and that's the lens Kanpix operates through: we don't just write code — we understand what a business actually needs, whether that's a website, a mobile app, a marketing campaign, or the right creator to bring an idea to life.
Kanpur, and cities like it, are full of skilled developers, designers, marketers and creators who rarely get the same access to opportunity as people in Bangalore, Delhi or Mumbai. Kanpix exists to close that gap — building a company, and a creator network, that proves great work doesn't require a metro-city address.
I also believe strongly that good work and burnout shouldn't be linked. The team I'm building at Kanpix runs on trust, flexibility and a healthy work-life balance — because people who aren't stretched thin consistently do better work for longer. That's not just a value statement; it's how Kanpix is actually structured, from how we hire to how we manage projects.
